Private exhibition of works by photographer David Koskas
"Cinema & Photography: When the photo tells the story of the film"

March 28, 2019

"In 35 years of career, from Lars von Trier to Bertrand Blier, from Claude Sautet to Jacques Annaud, or even Costa Gavras, David Koskas brings a unique perspective to a film by creating magical snapshots of scenes that have become cult classics.

The man is as fascinating as his work; let's stop in front of a photo and listen to David talk about him; he is colorful, funny, sometimes moving and always passionate.

When he tells a story, you can sense the tenderness he has for the actors and his love of cinema.

David is a true storyteller, and if his photos are so beautiful, it's because he himself is a luminous being.

(cocktail reception with the artist present)

From Dior muses to cult French films, and including cinematic masterpieces, David Koskas' photos never fail to make an impression.

They are beautiful because they are alive; they are alive because David gave them a soul.

This private exhibition is unique. The artist has selected thirty photographs from thousands, each of which will be printed as a unique, signed and dedicated print.

The photo library built up during his 35-year career will be transferred to the Cinémathèque française in the coming weeks for preservation.
